Powder coating provides durable protection and a high-quality finish. It offers excellent resistance to chemicals and corrosion, and it is environmentally friendly, as no solvents or harmful chemicals are used.
Powder coating is at the heart of our expertise in protecting and finishing large, heavy metal components.
In powder coating, a layer of powder is applied electrostatically to metal. The powder is evenly sprayed onto the surface using a powder gun until the required thickness is achieved.
The object then goes into the oven, where the powder melts and fully cures into a strong, durable coating.
Depending on the application, we apply powder coating in one or more layers.
For example, we start with an epoxy primer, followed by a hybrid intermediate layer and a wear-resistant topcoat. This multi-layer build-up offers maximum resistance to corrosion, impact, and weathering.
We also powder coat on galvanized materials, such as galvanized or metallized (shot-blasted) steel. Each of these substrates requires specific preparation and approach – an area where Allco has extensive experience.
